Promote citizen awareness of the impacts of pollution on lakes and their
watersheds. Encourage local watershed-based
initiatives to control pollution. Generate the formation and growth
of lake management organizations. Provide educational opportunities
for citizens to learn about the biological, geological, and sociological
relationships between lakes and their watersheds. Maintain a database of water
quality information for evaluation by concerned individuals, lake
management groups, local ,state, and federal agencies.
